The Pre-Prep Advantage
Unique to our Pre-Prep School, RGS Istanbul offers a revolutionary schedule, designed to support both child development and modern family life.
- The 48 Week Calendar: While the senior school follows traditional terms, our Early Years department will remain open for 48 weeks a year.
- The Bridge Programme: During traditional school holidays, our youngest learners will enjoy ‘The Bridge’, a curated programme of sensory play, physical literacy and creative discovery, ensuring consistency and eliminating learning loss.
The Extended Day: Our daily rhythm will be thoughtfully extended, allowing for a calm, unhurried pace where specialist activities like sports and the arts are integrated into the day, alongside late stay options for busy parents.
Our Educational Approach: Purposeful Play
Using the EYFS Framework as our guide, we will offer a curriculum that combines intentional learning with meaningful opportunities for exploration.
- Child Led Enquiry: Our approach nurtures creativity and independence. Whether experimenting with textures in sensory play or diving into storytelling, each day will be filled with laughter and discovery.
- Continuous Provision: Children will be encouraged to think independently and explore our indoor and outdoor learning zones at their own pace.
Specialist Lessons: From the very beginning, our Early Years students will benefit from specialist led sessions in Music, PE, Art and Languages (Turkish and English).
